Responsibilities
- Design and build latency-sensitive Rust services for high-frequency financial data and decisioning.
- Implement robust, testable financial logic with strict correctness guarantees.
- Build and maintain real-time streaming pipelines, event processing, and feedback loops.
- Optimize CPU, memory, and network performance using profiling and benchmarking.
- Collaborate on API design, data models, and distributed system architecture.
- Maintain reliable, observable, well-architected, and documented production systems.
Requirements
- A university degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or sciences, or a comparable qualification.
- Extensive experience with Rust, Docker, AWS, and Terraform.
- Strong Rust proficiency, including ownership, lifetimes, concurrency, async programming, and error handling.
- Experience building high-performance services in production and working with low-latency systems.
- Strong systems thinking around latency, throughput, backpressure, and failure modes.
- Strong analytical thinking across technical and product domains.
- Clear and effective communication with engineering, product, and other stakeholders.
- A commitment to well-architected, testable, and documented code.
- Experience using coding agents such as Codex or similar AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
- Experience with domain-driven design and distributed architectures is a plus.
- Background in financial services and exposure to compliance or audit requirements in financial systems is a strong plus.
