Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and execute automated functional, regression, end-to-end, integration, and smoke test suites.
- Triage, document, and track defects with reproduction steps and severity assessments.
- Create and manage Postman API test collections covering variables, scripts, assertions, authentication, payloads, and error handling.
- Architect scalable automation frameworks and reusable C# test utilities using maintainable design patterns.
- Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins pipelines.
- Define automation coding standards, evaluate new testing tools, and create a long-term test automation maturity roadmap.
- Identify test coverage gaps and support shift-left, risk-based, contract-testing, and other quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers in planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and document test strategies, framework architecture, and onboarding guidance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of QA automation experience focused on regression testing.
- Strong proficiency with C# and .NET for automated tests and test utilities.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for browser automation.
- Proficiency with Postman and familiarity with Newman for API test execution.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and software design patterns.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Ability to read and review application source code to inform test strategy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Preferred experience with SpecFlow or Cucumber for .NET BDD testing.
- Preferred familiarity with k6, JMeter, Docker, Azure, AWS, Pact, service virtualization, QA KPIs, and testing-tool or framework contributions.
- ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
