Responsibilities
- Analyze back-end architecture and implement optimizations to improve system performance.
- Write, review, and optimize reliable, reusable, scalable, and secure back-end code.
- Design and implement integration solutions while maintaining application functionality and scalability.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, front-end developers, technology leaders, and other technical stakeholders.
- Support monitoring of service, database, and system health and troubleshoot complex application and database issues.
- Recommend and support unit testing and other quality assurance measures.
- Assist with training digital platform users on web application and API maintenance best practices.
- Create and refine technical documentation and communicate design and implementation details.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or at least 3 years of application development or application engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2–4 years of back-end application development or engineering experience.
- Good programming skills in Java, Python, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with back-end frameworks and moderate understanding of web protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with technical stakeholders.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Preferred: experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
