Responsibilities
- Design, integrate, implement, maintain, and modify API platforms, microservices, distributed services, databases, web applications, and related documentation.
- Perform complex programming assignments and deliver maintainable solutions using software craftsmanship, programming standards, and best practices.
- Provide technical consulting and direction to management, business users, technical associates, clients, and development teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the discovery and investigation of critical production problems and provide support for critical web application issues.
- Mentor developers, train and share knowledge with development teams, and operate with autonomy and leadership.
- Research new technologies, tools, components, and frameworks and implement technical and process improvements.
- Manage and report on projects and tasks, present to management, clients, and peers, and schedule and lead project and communication meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics, or a related science field.
- Four years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, Programmer Analyst, Software Developer, Engineer, or in a related role, including four years of IT experience.
- Four years of mainstream development experience with Node.js/JavaScript, Java, .NET, or comparable technologies; Java is preferred.
- Four years of experience with database management systems and object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience designing and developing microservices, APIs, distributed services, full-stack web applications, and cloud-native applications.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot, containers, CI/CD, cloud providers, Domain-Driven Design, TDD, Terraform, Docker, Microsoft Azure, MongoDB, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Selenium Grid, Grafana, Checkly, Jira, Confluence, and JetBrains IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA.
- Experience with technical documentation, code reviews, branching strategies, automated testing, monitoring, observability, performance visualization, and agile work management.
