Responsibilities
- Implement Camunda 7 process applications packaged and deployed with Spring Boot.
- Convert approved process designs into executable BPMN with variables, tasks, gateways, timers, errors, and boundary events.
- Integrate Camunda with the Workflow Unified API and external delegate services.
- Implement delegate service contracts and adapters in the Workflow Unified API repository.
- Build database, REST, Kafka, SAP, notification, document, and file integrations according to approved contracts.
- Implement retries, timeouts, idempotency, compensation, error handling, correlation IDs, audit events, and operational metrics.
- Implement Workflow Unified API endpoints for process operations, tasks, variables, and status.
- Implement request validation, DTO conversions, API versioning, and consistent error models.
- Implement authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, and field-level access controls.
- Build approved React screens, routes, forms, validation, and permission-aware UI states.
- Write unit, integration, process, API, UI, and browser tests.
- Validate BPMN XML, Camunda references, API contracts, generated artifacts, and source traceability.
- Troubleshoot build, runtime, API, workflow, integration, and deployment issues.
- Deliver logging, metrics, health checks, runbooks, and source-to-code traceability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Java development experience.
- Strong Spring Boot, REST API, SQL, and relational database experience.
- Hands-on Camunda 7 BPMN, process variable, external task, service task, and delegate experience.
- Strong React and TypeScript development experience.
- Experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, Spring Boot Test, Jest, React Testing Library, and browser testing.
- Experience with Kafka or another event-streaming platform.
- Experience with OAuth2/OIDC, secure API development, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability.
- Preferred experience with Appian migration or SAIL form conversion.
- Preferred experience with Camunda external task clients and workers.
- Preferred experience with SAP, REST, SOAP, file, document, and notification integrations.
- Preferred experience with OpenAPI, JSON Schema, contract testing, Pact, Testcontainers, and runtime integration testing.
- Preferred experience with accessibility testing, browser automation, and AI-assisted development tools.
Benefits
- Hourly base compensation is CAD $58-$75.
