Base Salary
$186k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, deliver, and operate scalable Go microservices on EKS that meet uptime, latency, and scale goals
- Build resilient and observable event-driven pipelines and asynchronous workflows using Kafka and MQTT
- Design and optimize data models, ingestion, and query access patterns across RDS MySQL, Neo4J, and ElasticSearch
- Establish monitoring, alerting, tracing, on-call, production-readiness, and operational-excellence standards
- Drive root-cause fixes and reliability improvements
- Lead cross-team delivery, align stakeholders, provide technical direction, and execute complex work on tight timelines
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience designing and shipping highly scalable backend microservices in production using Go
- Proven experience with event-driven, asynchronous architectures using messaging or streaming platforms such as Kafka
- Strong data engineering and persistence skills across MySQL and at least one of ElasticSearch or Neo4J
- Hands-on experience deploying, troubleshooting, and operationally owning services on Kubernetes, ideally EKS
- Experience profiling and optimizing distributed systems across latency, throughput, resource usage, services, databases, and messaging is preferred
- Experience designing observability with structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, dashboards, and alerts is preferred
- Experience defining and operationalizing SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, alert policies, and reliability reporting is preferred
