Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and advisory engagements to identify high-value, industry-specific AI use cases.
- Advise customers on end-to-end AI deployment, including model selection, training and fine-tuning, inference optimization, data pipelines, evaluation, alignment, and safety frameworks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to qualify and position AI opportunities and develop proof-of-value prototypes tied to business outcomes.
- Create technical enablement content, qualification guides, workshops, and vertical-specific use-case frameworks for field teams, partners, and customers.
- Present at industry conferences, publish technical content and peer-reviewed research, and represent Pure in strategic partner engagements.
- Independently scope and drive high-impact initiatives in ambiguous environments.
- Support account teams, internal field communities, and channel partners in qualifying and positioning AI advisory opportunities.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent demonstrated through publications and production system experience.
- At least 8 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML systems in cloud or on-premises environments.
- Deep expertise in large language models, distributed training, inference optimization, agentic systems, evaluation and alignment frameworks, and classical machine learning.
- Fluency with PyTorch, vLLM, Ray, Kubernetes, and modern data platforms such as Spark, Snowflake, and Kafka.
- Ability to scope and execute independent or collaborative research projects supporting business objectives.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for both hands-on data scientists and C-suite decision-makers.
- Experience with large-scale AI infrastructure, GPU clusters, high-performance storage, and containerized deployments.
- Experience in customer-facing technical advisory or consulting roles with enterprise accounts.
- Experience leading multi-year research through publication or large-scale production deployment.
- Exposure to financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, or manufacturing verticals.
- Publication record, conference presentations, or recognized technical presence is preferred.
- Background combining applied research with production systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM and opportunity-management systems, with Salesforce preferred.
