Responsibilities
- Drive the migration from Java to Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Build and modernize Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Refactor legacy code and proactively reduce technical debt.
- Contribute to Android architecture decisions involving MVVM, MVI, Coroutines, and platform improvements.
- Collaborate with iOS, Web, Product, Design, and QA teams to deliver product features.
- Improve tooling, testing practices, and mobile delivery processes where needed.
- Maintain and improve the overall health of the Android platform.
- Work independently while shipping high-quality code to a global user base.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building Android applications.
- Strong Kotlin knowledge and solid Java understanding.
- Experience with modern Android architecture, including Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and MVVM/MVI.
- Experience migrating legacy Android codebases to modern technology stacks.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality code.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with mobile CI/CD, testing, or DevOps practices is a plus.
- Experience collaborating across iOS and Web platforms is a plus.
