Responsibilities
- Own test automation strategy and execution across API, application, and UI layers.
- Build and maintain automated tests using Node.js, JavaScript, Mocha, WebdriverIO, and Appium.
- Automate complex stateful workflows involving authentication, session management, webhooks, and end-to-end validation.
- Collaborate with QA, engineering, product, and UX teams to test new and existing platform functionality.
- Identify, log, document, monitor, and troubleshoot software defects and anomalies.
- Participate in stand-ups and QA planning meetings to communicate progress, risks, and priorities.
- Independently validate the correctness and maintainability of test code produced with GitHub Copilot.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on JavaScript coding experience and experience building or maintaining code-based test automation.
- Experience with Appium, JavaScript, Node.js, Mocha, and WebdriverIO.
- Demonstrated experience automating complex API or UI workflows.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous execution, test determinism, assertions, selectors and waits, fixtures, mocks, reporting, and CI signal quality.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Preferred experience testing security vulnerabilities and OWASP Top 10 risks across application layers.
- Preferred experience automating complex hybrid and native mobile applications.
- Preferred experience with authentication handling, session management, webhooks, end-to-end validation, JIRA, Postman, and Figma.
