Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Plan and execute PostgreSQL-to-Oracle Database migrations from discovery through post-migration stabilization.
- Design and implement Oracle AI Database 26ai environments and multi-model databases using relational, spatial, JSON, and graph data types.
- Migrate Oracle Databases from on-premises or other cloud environments into OCI while managing technical and operational dependencies.
- Use Zero Downtime Migration, Data Pump, GoldenGate, or comparable tools with rollback and recovery planning.
- Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, schemas, interfaces, and operational automation.
- Define migration test plans, reconcile source and target data, assess readiness, and troubleshoot functional, performance, and integration issues.
- Create migration plans, design documentation, runbooks, cutover checklists, and stakeholder-ready status reports.
- Collaborate with database engineers, application developers, cloud specialists, security professionals, and customer stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in database development, database engineering, or data migration.
- Experience planning and executing PostgreSQL-to-Oracle Database migrations across discovery, conversion, data movement, testing, cutover, reconciliation, and stabilization.
- Experience designing and implementing Oracle AI Database 26ai and multi-model database solutions.
- Experience migrating Oracle Databases from on-premises or cloud environments into OCI.
- Experience with database migration tools, SQL, and PL/SQL, including schemas, interfaces, performance optimization, and operational automation.
- Experience developing migration test plans, validating data quality, reconciling data, and documenting technical decisions and operational procedures.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Preferred: experience with Oracle Spatial, geospatial raster and vector data, OCI database deployment and operations, RESTful APIs, Oracle API Gateway, Oracle Exadata, OCI Autonomous AI Database Service on Exadata, vector data types, RAG, MCP, Grafana, Oracle Analytics Cloud, or Oracle Analytics Server.
