Responsibilities
- Evaluate next-generation verification and validation tools and recommend those suited to DO-178C and other certification objectives.
- Assess software tool qualification requirements and support certified and non-certified RTOS testing workflows.
- Architect and develop a scalable, maintainable RTOS test framework supporting requirements-based testing, structural coverage analysis, and traceability.
- Implement test automation for continuous integration and regression testing.
- Develop system-level tests for RTOS functionality, performance, and timing behavior.
- Create and execute V&V test cases traceable to system and software requirements.
- Collaborate with systems, software, technical leads, and global engineering teams to ensure requirements coverage and improve products and processes.
Requirements
- BTech, MTech, or equivalent technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software testing, verification, or validation.
- Strong understanding of RTOS scheduling, concurrency, determinism, and resource management.
- Proficiency in test automation and framework development using Python, C, or C++.
- Experience with requirements-based testing, traceability, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred experience with DO-178C or DO-178B, DO-330, static analysis, model-based testing, formal methods, structural coverage, commercial or open-source RTOS platforms, verification tools, and firmware bringup or boot up.
- Knowledge of structural coverage techniques including MC/DC, branch, and statement coverage.
