Responsibilities
- Design key memory firmware features and prototype new opportunities and enhancements.
- Investigate and enable memory technologies across AMD Embedded SoC products.
- Implement firmware, fix defects, conduct reviews, and maintain firmware quality.
- Manage firmware integration and releases on schedule.
- Support DDR4, DDR5, NVDIMM, and UDIMM, SODIMM, RDIMM, LRDIMM, and LPDDR technologies.
- Collaborate across teams and present solutions across organizational groups.
Requirements
- 9–13 years of professional experience, including at least five years working with relevant memory technologies.
- Experience with memory recognition and configuration code and hardware debug tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analysis, and debugging skills.
- Good understanding of DDR4, DDR5, NVDIMM, DIMM types, and UMC features including ECC, SME, SEV, and RAS.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electronics engineering.
- Knowledge of vendor implementations and memory timing differences is preferred.
- Knowledge of platform BIOS and UEFI/Coreboot is preferred.
- Master’s degree in a computer-related field and scripting knowledge are additional advantages.
