Responsibilities
- Implement core feature logic, game flows, and screens or components.
- Design, implement, and debug complex game technologies across multiple platforms.
- Develop technical solutions across game features, optimizations, and game-development technologies.
- Optimize frame rates and load times and analyze related metrics throughout development.
- Integrate and develop technologies with other domain owners and provide technical feedback and improvement solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- 6+ years of C++ software development experience.
- Experience with Unreal, Unity, Frostbite, or another game engine.
- Proficiency integrating and maintaining large-scale systems across multiple domains.
- Understanding of memory management, multithreaded job systems, runtime optimization, and job-based architectures.
- Experience with third-party APIs and debugging complex applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Experience with Xbox or PlayStation platforms, or with mobile, PC, or cloud-based games and graphics libraries such as DirectX, OpenGL, or Metal.
- Bonus qualifications include assembler, Python, Lua, and C# knowledge, plus understanding of geometry, linear algebra, calculus, and physics for 3D transformations and motion.
Benefits
- British Columbia compensation range is $141,400–$204,400 CAD.
- Benefits include three weeks of vacation per year to start, 10 days of sick time per year, extended health, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, and a retirement plan for regular full-time employees.
- Canada benefits include paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary, including 12 weeks for maternity leave and four weeks for parental or adoption leave.
