Base Salary
$113k - $188k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build scalable and maintainable applications in partnership with engineers, architects, and analysts.
- Develop full-stack solutions with a backend focus, including services and APIs.
- Design, build, and maintain Kotlin and Java services and APIs powering product recommendations and product associations.
- Implement continuous delivery activities and engineering best practices.
- Lead projects from design and discovery through implementation and delivery while solving complex technical problems with substantial autonomy.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, machine learning, and frontend teams to improve customer product discovery.
- Support team activities, pair with peers, and coach and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- At least 3 years of experience building software applications in a professional engineering environment.
- Experience building and deploying scalable distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java and experience developing backend services and APIs with modern frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Experience analyzing and solving complex technical problems.
- Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools into software engineering workflows.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Preferred experience with recommendation engines, product associations, data publishing platforms, or ecommerce applications.
- Preferred experience with AWS, containerized applications, SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, GitHub Actions, React, Python, or PySpark.
