Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise and solution architecture for complex retail transformation programs from strategy and solution shaping through delivery and benefits realization.
- Build trusted relationships with CTOs, Heads of Architecture, Heads of Engineering, and other senior client stakeholders.
- Define transformation roadmaps and advise clients on strategic technology and investment decisions.
- Apply retail expertise across customer experience, omnichannel commerce, merchandising, supply chain, fulfillment, and store operations.
- Shape secure, resilient, scalable, and AI-enabled solutions using enterprise platforms, ERP, APIs, microservices, cloud, IoT, and computer vision.
- Build technology partner relationships and identify opportunities to create additional client value.
- Lead and contribute to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitches, and client-hosting events.
- Support campaigns, thought leadership, recruitment, practice development, knowledge sharing, and offering development.
- Support the financial growth and continued development of the Retail Architecture capability.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading enterprise or solution architecture within the retail sector.
- Strong knowledge of retail sectors such as grocery, fashion, general merchandise, or health and beauty.
- Experience selling and delivering complex architecture or technology transformation consulting engagements.
- Track record of leading programs from strategy and solution shaping through delivery and benefits realization.
- Experience advising senior stakeholders and influencing strategic technology and investment decisions.
- Broad knowledge of enterprise platforms, ERP, cloud, APIs, microservices, and modern architecture approaches.
- Understanding of AI opportunities in retail, supported by experience architecting or delivering AI-enabled solutions.
- Strong commercial and business development capability, including leading proposals, bids, and client pitches.
- Proven success operating in a matrixed organization and securing support to sell and deliver consulting solutions.
- Collaborative leadership style and commitment to growing teams, communities, and capabilities.
