Base Salary

$162k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex infrastructure data and systems, anticipate issues, and advise on mitigation actions.
  • Architect, build, and maintain secure, auditable, production-grade agentic AI solutions for infrastructure management automation.
  • Design and implement infrastructure changes across platforms and modernize technology processes.
  • Drive multiple complex programs, technical delivery, and thought leadership within the product line.
  • Apply infrastructure engineering practices aligned with business requirements, compliance, risk, security, resiliency, and auditability expectations.
  • Lead reuse-first AI-assisted delivery and automation practices with validated and traceable changes.
  • Evaluate vendors and tooling for Mainframe and Midrange automation through prototyping and technical due diligence.
  • Partner with operations, SRE, architecture, risk, and control functions to implement AI capabilities safely.
  • Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, design reviews, and technical coaching.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure engineering domains including hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment.
  • Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation and data-sensitivity practices.
  • Ability to validate AI-assisted recommendations and align implementation outcomes with resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
  • Expertise in infrastructure technologies and programming languages.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, including operation across and migration between public and private clouds.
  • Experience designing and delivering production solutions with resiliency, scalability, performance, security, and operational excellence requirements.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise technology risk and controls, including SDLC controls, change management, access controls, auditability, and data handling.
  • Ability to lead technical delivery across teams and functions in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in API and service design, distributed systems, data modeling, testing strategy, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical feedback.
  • Preferred experience with Mainframe and Midrange automation, operational tooling, and platform management.
  • Preferred exposure to agentic AI controls such as human-in-the-loop design, guardrails, prompt and tool governance, and evaluation and monitoring.
  • Preferred experience partnering with SRE and operations teams on reliability improvements, incident automation, toil reduction, and runbook modernization.
  • Preferred experience integrating heterogeneous infrastructure ecosystems and working in financial services or other regulated industries.
