Responsibilities
- Lead and implement large-scale, highly available, fault-tolerant systems using Kubernetes, AWS, and other cloud technologies.
- Design, build, and improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and alerting capabilities, and reliability features.
- Architect and implement security-first Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Resolve complex technical issues during application builds and deployments.
- Analyze production metrics to optimize utilization, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Enhance monitoring and alerting to proactively detect customer-impacting issues.
- Execute security tools, analyze vulnerabilities, and coordinate remediation with development and DevOps teams.
- Participate as a key stakeholder in incident response and disaster recovery scenarios.
- Automate large-scale distributed systems and support production change management, ticketing, and emergency patching processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or six or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of software development experience with solid DevOps experience.
- Expert knowledge of Kubernetes, including service types, Ingress, Istio, blue/green deployments, CoreDNS, CRDs, RBAC, Operators, and Helm.
- Extensive experience with AWS services and familiarity with Cassandra, PostgreSQL, RDS, Kafka, Redis, ZooKeeper, etcd, and RabbitMQ.
- Expertise with Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana for monitoring and logging.
- Knowledge of AWS GuardDuty, CrowdStrike, Tenable, and SSL/TLS security practices.
- Proficiency with Jenkins and Terraform and development experience in C, C++, Java, or Go plus at least one scripting language.
- Strong Linux command-line skills and experience in production environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- AWS or Kubernetes certifications, large-scale global DevOps team leadership, and open-source or industry publication contributions are preferred.
