Responsibilities
- Implement simulation features and infrastructure under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Build software components for simulation workflows and testing pipelines.
- Develop tools used by Perception, Prediction, Planning, and Controls teams.
- Contribute to improving simulation reliability, usability, and performance.
- Assist with debugging simulation issues and validating software behavior.
- Contribute to scenario generation and simulation execution pipelines.
- Help improve automation for simulation testing and evaluation.
- Learn and work with modern simulation platforms and development tools.
- Participate in maintaining internal simulation services and tooling.
- Write clean, maintainable C++ and Python code.
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Document software features and technical design.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in C++ (C++17 preferred).
- Experience with object-oriented programming and data structures.
- Familiarity with Linux development environment.
- Basic understanding of multithreading, software design principles, and debugging techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Passion for robotics, simulation, or autonomous systems.
- Preferred internship or academic project experience in robotics, autonomous driving, simulation, or game engines.
- Experience with Python and familiarity with ROS or ROS2.
- Experience with Docker or Git.
- Exposure to simulation platforms like CARLA, Isaac Sim, Unreal Engine, or Gazebo.
- Familiarity with cloud development environments.
