Base Salary
$209k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale distributed and cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture, technology direction, platform roadmaps, and shared-services strategy.
- Build and operate real-time streaming pipelines and services that evaluate credit card transactions for fraud.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver robust cloud-based solutions and meet regulatory needs.
- Mentor engineers, promote technical learning, and drive professional development within engineering teams.
- Lead architectural design reviews, establish coding standards and design patterns, and influence enterprise-wide technical standards.
- Use observability and reliability practices to identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 9+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and 5+ years with open-source frameworks and front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, leading architectural reviews, establishing coding standards, implementing observability and reliability practices, and influencing technology strategy.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI productivity tooling, cross-functional engineering efforts, or large-scale technical initiatives is preferred.
