Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and resolve customer-reported software issues.
- Identify product areas generating frequent support queries and collaborate with development teams on fixes.
- Remotely assist with customer system setup, configuration, and administration.
- Perform setup for customer sites and consult customers on proper machine configuration.
- Improve internal support processes.
- Provide periodic 24/7 on-call support coverage.
- Respond to customers promptly by telephone or email and manage expectations regarding outcomes.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a customer or internal software support position.
- Experience with software development, design, testing, and troubleshooting in a technical support role with direct customer interaction.
- Experience supporting n-tier, enterprise-class web applications.
- Proficiency with C#.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A four-year technical degree in electrical engineering or computer science is preferred.
- Prior experience working at a hosting facility is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, Microsoft .NET, JavaScript, and DHTML is preferred.
