Base Salary

$183k - $223k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend applications for Uber Freight’s Transportation Management Platform.
Design and lead backend services and solve complex technical problems at scale.
Partner with Product Managers, Designers, UXR, and Data Scientists to deliver product experiences and agentic solutions.
Apply system design, performance, reliability, distributed systems, and cloud technologies to transportation software products.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of professional software programming experience.
Strong programming experience in Java or Go.
Strong experience designing and leading backend microservices.
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms and experience applying them in implementations.
Experience with complex problems at scale, SQL, Oracle, JDBC, Python, Spring Boot, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
Strong understanding of system design, performance, and reliability.
Experience with GCP, Azure, or OCI cloud platforms.
Experience working in cross-functional product teams; logistics, transportation, or freight industry knowledge is a plus.
