$174k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Guide the technical direction and implementation of large-scale product features.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to influence product strategy and direction.
- Evaluate trade-offs involving correctness, robustness, performance, and customer impact.
- Ship well-tested, secure, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Debug team inefficiencies, identify blockers, and improve software engineering practices.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and complex bug fixes with security, performance, and reliability in mind.
- Mentor and performance-coach engineers and improve the growth engineering team.
- Recognize and reconcile organizational gaps and redundant efforts while collaborating across the company.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-grade solutions using microservices.
- Background in Java, Kotlin, observability tools, and service operations.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS offerings.
- Experience building distributed systems for a SaaS product.
- Experience recognizing, raising, and reconciling gaps and redundant efforts across organizations.
- Demonstrated success with cross-company collaboration.
- Experience influencing and performance-coaching engineers.
