Base Salary
$174k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Guide the technical direction and implementation of large-scale product features.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to influence product strategy and direction.
- Evaluate trade-offs involving correctness, robustness, performance, and customer impact.
- Debug team inefficiencies and identify blockers to engineering excellence.
- Ship well-tested, secure, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and complex bug fixes.
- Mentor and performance-coach engineers and improve teammate skills.
- Improve the growth engineering team through mentoring.
- Recognize and reconcile gaps and redundant efforts across organizations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-grade solutions using microservices.
- Background in Java, Kotlin, observability tools, and service operations.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS offerings.
- Experience building distributed systems for a SaaS product.
- Experience with cross-company collaboration and influencing engineers.
- Experience with performance coaching of engineers.
