Responsibilities
- Build integrations connecting carriers and customers to project44’s logistics network.
- Manage integrations throughout their life cycle.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the team-owned supply chain visibility platform.
- Build systems in a multi-cloud environment using AWS and GCP, with Azure experience valued.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems.
- Share ownership of software delivery, including development, operations, and testing.
- Participate in team on-call responsibilities for owned systems.
- Invest in tools, monitoring, and automation to improve the on-call experience.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience building large-scale, real-time or near-real-time cloud systems.
- Strong programming and debugging skills with proficiency in Java.
- Experience creating and working with scalable Java-based microservices.
- Experience working with databases, preferably Postgres or other SQL-based databases.
- Experience with event stores and stream processing using Kafka or Kinesis.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Experience investigating large and complex codebases is desirable.
- Hands-on C++ experience is desirable.
- Experience creating APIs or web services, including REST and OpenAPI/Swagger, is desirable.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration is desirable.
- Experience with DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Postgres is desirable.
