Base Salary
$170k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of Built’s application-facing data products platform.
- Build full-stack customer experiences using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Python.
- Partner with Product to shape ambiguous ideas into useful customer workflows.
- Turn data science prototypes and analytics concepts into production-grade product experiences.
- Implement strong software engineering practices through technical design and code review.
- Help data engineers take on more software engineering work across various domains.
- Collaborate across Built to integrate data products with application surfaces and workflows.
- Use customer signals and feedback to guide engineering decisions.
Requirements
- Staff-level software engineering experience with a track record of leading customer-facing product initiatives.
- Strong product judgment and ability to identify low-value requirements.
- Full-stack web application experience with backend-leaning product engineering depth.
- Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and modern web application architecture.
- Experience with Python or ability to work effectively in Python-based systems.
- Experience designing APIs and production backend systems.
- Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code with strong testing instincts.
- Strong technical communication skills for design docs and architecture discussions.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor engineers.
