Base Salary
$133k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of federal sales engineers in a player-coach capacity.
- Own technical pre-sales efforts for strategic federal agency and partner accounts.
- Run demonstrations, support technical discovery, and guide proofs of concept and pilots from scoping through outcomes.
- Use breach, malware-derived, credential, and identity data to support investigations, fraud detection, account takeover defense, and adversary tracking.
- Support public sector resellers, system integrators, and solution architects through hands-on subject-matter expertise.
- Translate proof-of-concept findings into clear results for technical and mission audiences.
- Support engagements in secure environments, including SCIF settings, using the required clearance.
- Capture product gaps and field feedback for product and engineering roadmap planning.
- Represent SpyCloud at federal and defense conferences, agency days, and industry events.
Requirements
- 8+ years of cybersecurity pre-sales experience, including federal or public sector accounts.
- 4+ years of experience managing sales engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of the federal market, missions, operating environments, and acquisition behavior of the DoD, federal law enforcement, and Intelligence Community.
- Active Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Residence in or relocation to the Washington, D.C. metro area.
- Experience with OSINT tools and tradecraft, federal procurement, contract vehicles, and public sector buying cycles.
- Experience tracking KPIs and creating team-performance health dashboards.
- Willingness to travel across the region and to agency sites.
- Python or similar coding knowledge.
- Preferred: federal investigator, Intelligence Community, or DoD background; familiarity with FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, and ATO processes; public sector partner, system integrator, and reseller experience; familiarity with infostealer and malware-derived intelligence and identity analytics; and experience with AI-assisted investigation tooling, agentic workflows, LLM-driven analysis, MCP, or tool-calling integrations.
