Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to define and execute technical sales strategies for prospects.
- Qualify opportunities based on technical fit, regulatory considerations, and competitive landscape.
- Lead discovery workshops covering integration estates, API maturity, cloud posture, and AI use cases.
- Develop solution blueprints and architectures addressing business needs, technical constraints, and compliance requirements.
- Build and deliver tailored solution demonstrations.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Proofs of Concept and Proofs of Value with defined use cases, success criteria, and exit conditions.
- Lead architecture discussions involving deployment topology, security, identity, observability, performance, resilience, and integration patterns.
- Present solutions to technical, executive, and board-adjacent audiences.
- Contribute technical and product content to RFP and RFI responses.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer roundtables and contribute technical content to marketing campaigns.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in presales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting, ideally with an enterprise software or SaaS vendor or implementation partner.
- Experience selling or implementing API management platforms such as Axway, Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, WSO2, Boomi, CA Layer 7, IBM DataPower, or IBM API Connect.
- Experience with LiteLLM, Portkey, Azure AI, Bitfrost, or other AI gateway technologies.
- Knowledge of enterprise AI integration and APIs, including governed APIs, securing LLM endpoints, foundation model providers, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI gateways.
- Strong understanding of iPaaS, hybrid integration platforms, EAI, ESB, SOA, event-driven architecture, and API-led connectivity.
- Understanding of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including identity, networking, and managed integration services.
- Strong grasp of cloud and hybrid architecture principles including SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy, security, elastic scaling, and resilience.
- Hands-on familiarity with Kubernetes, container security, observability, messaging patterns, and microservices.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tooling for digital business.
- Highly desired cloud architect certification such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience with AI gateways, prompt management, model observability, vector databases, LangChain, or LlamaIndex is highly desired.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, or ArgoCD is highly desired.
- Must be based in Australia, have full working rights, and be able to commute or work onsite with the team.
- Willingness to travel within Australia and New Zealand as required, typically 25%.
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Baseline or NV1 security clearance is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, consultative instincts, and ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently.
