Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable AWS infrastructure across multi-account organizations, including account-per-customer hosting.
- Author reusable Terraform modules and golden-path infrastructure-as-code patterns for other engineering teams.
- Design DNS, certificate, network, landing-zone, account-vending, and multi-environment promotion architectures.
- Build and harden GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery.
- Operate ECS Fargate, EKS, Lambda, and RDS PostgreSQL workloads at production scale.
- Implement OpenTelemetry-based observability with OpenObserve and CloudWatch, and integrate PagerDuty.
- Own cloud incident response and root-cause analysis while meeting SLA and SLO targets.
- Drive FinOps initiatives including tagging enforcement, right-sizing, Savings Plans coverage, and cost anomaly follow-up.
- Implement cloud security controls covering IAM boundaries, secrets management, network segmentation, encryption, vulnerability scanning, patching, and policy checks.
- Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance, audit evidence automation, and customer-data governance.
- Design validation gates, reusable patterns, review processes, and audit trails for AI-assisted infrastructure changes.
- Mentor platform engineers, support self-service deployment models, and contribute to architecture reviews, migrations, and platform standards.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in cloud, platform, or DevOps engineering with substantial AWS depth.
- Expertise with AWS EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, VPC, and Route 53 in multi-account environments.
- Strong Terraform expertise, including reusable modules consumed by other teams.
- Software engineering ability in Python or a similar language for platform automation.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD and secure pipeline design.
- Experience designing observability with OpenTelemetry or an equivalent technology and operating under SLOs.
- Strong knowledge of networking, DNS, TLS, and cloud security architecture.
- Experience collaborating effectively in distributed global teams.
- Experience designing validation gates and reusable patterns for AI-assisted engineering changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated skills.
- Preferred: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, CKA, or Terraform Associate.
- Preferred: experience with account-per-customer or multi-tenant SaaS hosting, ERP workload migration, AWS Control Tower, landing zones, account vending, FinOps, or governed AI/LLM workloads.
