Responsibilities
- Own the reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems and services.
- Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and distributed infrastructure.
- Define and drive monitoring, logging, alerting, and broader observability strategy.
- Build and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for fast and reliable deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Lead incident management and root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs aligned with business and product requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system design, deployment processes, and operational excellence.
- Own and continuously improve on-call processes, including rotations, escalation policies, runbooks, and post-incident reviews.
- Own cloud security end to end and troubleshoot complex production systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering roles.
- Proven software development experience with Python, Go, Rust, or JavaScript and strong scripting capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Expertise with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, IAM, VPNs, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, New Relic, or Datadog for monitoring and observability.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as CircleCI, ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, cloud security, and operational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred experience includes large-scale distributed systems, microservices, Kubernetes operators and internals, cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, mentoring, architectural reviews, compliance, security standards, DevSecOps, internal developer platforms, backend services, and MLOps.
