Responsibilities
- Build and improve Nitro, the core node software powering Arbitrum.
- Design and optimize systems for transaction execution, state management, and network performance.
- Scale throughput and improve the performance and efficiency of Arbitrum’s core infrastructure.
- Solve distributed-systems challenges across a large-scale blockchain network.
- Enhance reliability, observability, and security across critical infrastructure.
- Develop new capabilities for the Arbitrum stack and own projects from technical design through operation.
Requirements
- Experienced Rust engineer with a track record of building production systems.
- Comfortable working across distributed systems, infrastructure, and performance-critical applications.
- Interested in runtimes, execution environments, WebAssembly, developer tooling, and/or systems programming.
- Able to solve complex technical problems at scale and make sound engineering trade-offs.
- Maintains a security-focused mindset and looks for threats and vulnerabilities in code.
- Experience with WebAssembly, blockchain infrastructure, or smart contract platforms is preferred.
- Open-source contributions within the Rust ecosystem are preferred.
