Responsibilities
- Design, build, implement, and support applications, web pages, websites, and backend integrations.
- Review existing application effectiveness and develop strategies for improvement or modernization.
- Lead code reviews and mentor less experienced software engineers.
- Design software architecture for smaller projects and support architecture work on larger projects.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, designers, product teams, scrum teams, architects, stakeholders, and end users.
- Analyze and prioritize front-end backlog tasks and help ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met.
- Research and recommend software products and services for procurement and development.
- Create technical documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and reusable software components.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
- 5–7 years of software engineering experience required.
- Extensive proficiency with C# or another object-oriented language, JavaScript frameworks, cloud services, web services, .NET Core MVC, Windows or Worker services, SQL, DevOps practices, Pega, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with React, Node.js, Angular, or Vue.js and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Extensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile concepts.
- Expert knowledge of database design and file management techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, mentor developers, communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, conduct research, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and end users to understand requirements.
