Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based services and APIs using FastAPI.
- Design and enhance scalable, resilient, secure, multi-tenant, event-driven microservices on Microsoft Azure.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and contribute to story-level and broader technical design.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, handle incidents and service requests, and implement reliable fixes.
- Drive automation, self-service solutions, service reliability, operational readiness, and SaaS cost efficiency.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and resolve build and deployment issues.
- Participate in planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers, support onboarding, and contribute to the team’s technical vision and roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with relevant software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI.
- Experience developing and consuming APIs and working with OAuth/OAuth2.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and scalable and resilient systems.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Event Hub, Azure AD or Microsoft Entra ID, Virtual Network, and ARM Templates.
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Understanding of clean code, testing, CI/CD, code reviews, DevOps practices, secure architecture, authentication, authorization, identity management, and data security.
- Experience with production troubleshooting, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Understanding of SaaS scalability, reliability, performance, and resource optimization.
