Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects delivering production-grade data, AI, and application solutions.
- Design and implement reference architectures, data ingestion systems, custom data applications, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Own architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, performant, and aligned with customer needs.
- Guide customers through project implementation, evaluation, understanding, and adoption of Databricks.
- Collaborate with engagement managers, project managers, architects, Databricks engineering and support, and customer teams to deliver technical engagements.
- Embed with customer stakeholders ranging from technical individual contributors to executives and resolve engagement-specific issues.
- Contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices while providing feedback that influences the Databricks product roadmap.
- Manage technical scope, timelines, and measurable project outcomes.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics.
- Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, or TypeScript using modern frameworks.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of at least two major cloud ecosystems—AWS, Azure, or GCP—with expertise in at least one.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant, production-grade end-to-end data architectures and applications.
- Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
- Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills, with curiosity and adaptability toward new technologies.
- Databricks Certification.
- Additional software engineering experience is preferred.
