Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical authority and trusted advisor for Nutanix Database Service in enterprise customer engagements.
- Plan, deploy, configure, and maintain Nutanix Database Service during proof-of-concept evaluations.
- Architect scalable database-as-a-service solutions integrated with customer environments and Nutanix technologies.
- Support complex technical sales cycles and drive regional adoption and sales targets with account teams and sales specialists.
- Gather customer feedback and regional sales blockers to influence product, engineering, marketing, and roadmap decisions.
- Promote technical thought leadership through internal communities, industry conferences, reference architectures, blogs, and whitepapers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a DBA, Database Architect, or Technical Pre-Sales Engineer.
- Deep hands-on experience with enterprise databases such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or other NoSQL and virtualized database solutions.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, data center architecture, virtualization, storage, networking, Kubernetes-based modern applications, and automation/DevOps practices.
- Proven experience with complex technical sales cycles, hands-on evaluation deployments, and positioning technical capabilities against enterprise business outcomes.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical teams and executive decision-makers.
- Native or fluent German and English proficiency; additional European languages are a plus.
- Must be legally based in Germany and willing and able to travel across the EMEA Central region.
