Base Salary
$145k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship backend features in the Django monolith for document workflows, embeds, exports, and greenfield projects.
- Optimize database queries, endpoints, caching layers, performance, and reliability across critical user workflows.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver reliable product experiences.
- Contribute to technical discussions and long-term architectural evolution.
- Perform code reviews and maintain strong test coverage, observability, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend applications at high scale and availability.
- Extensive experience with Python.
- Experience optimizing endpoint performance and database queries.
- Strong advocacy for automated testing and implementation of engineering best practices.
- Django experience is preferred but not required.
- Startup experience is a plus.
