Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and contribute to the architecture, development, and expansion of the regulatory portfolio.
- Deliver product roadmap features and production code that helps customers solve regulatory problems.
- Take responsibility for parts of the product portfolio and become an internal technical reference.
- Contribute architectural ideas, participate in design and internal review sessions, and keep the product up to date.
- Apply software engineering best practices including code analysis, unit testing, automated testing, performance, security, and maintainability considerations.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, business analysts, and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience working with Python.
- Practical experience using version control systems such as Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Experience working with non-technical stakeholders, business requirements, and ambiguity.
- Experience with unit tests, automated testing, and software engineering best practices.
- Exposure to large codebases involving multiple authors, features, and timelines.
- Desirable qualifications include comfort with Unix-based operating systems such as Ubuntu, experience improving or refactoring existing code, and familiarity with Kanban or Scrum.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering is desirable.
- Personal, academic, or internship projects involving scripting, automation, or data handling are desirable.
