Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy Java Spring Boot microservices for modernization of legacy operational systems.
- Develop REST services and distributed microservice architectures using AWS-native and cloud-native technologies.
- Use Python with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and other AWS services.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using Maven, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible.
- Design NoSQL schemas and queries and manage data persistence using MongoDB and DynamoDB.
- Implement Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, OAuth, and OIDC solutions for data retrieval and distributed-system authentication.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end test suites using Cypress and Cucumber.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, architecture reviews, code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, refine user stories and acceptance criteria, and mentor less experienced team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or 4+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
- 12+ years of professional software development experience; the posting also states 9+ years with a bachelor's degree or 7+ years with a master's degree per the prime contractor.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
- Experience with microservices architecture, cloud-native development, RESTful API design, and AWS technologies in DoD/IC classified environments.
- Proficiency in at least three listed areas, including Java/Spring Boot, Python, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, CI/CD tooling, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, NoSQL databases, OAuth/OIDC, or test automation.
- Strongly desired experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, Elasticsearch, and OpenSearch.
- Experience with AWS services and tools including OSS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of legacy-system modernization, production container orchestration, GitLab/GitOps pipelines, MongoDB and DynamoDB schema design, OAuth/OIDC, monitoring, and DoD/IC security compliance such as STIGs and RMF.
- Strong collaboration, communication, documentation, and technical mentoring skills.
