Base Salary
$104k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build self-service paths for deployment, provisioning, testing, and other infrastructure primitives.
- Develop frameworks and governance guardrails that allow teams to deploy internally built AI agents safely.
- Partner with engineering teams to define infrastructure-as-a-service primitives.
- Build monitoring and alerting to identify issues early and help meet enterprise-grade SLAs.
- Create opinionated abstractions, tooling, and guardrails for safe use of platform primitives.
- Improve observability and the everyday ergonomics of developer tools.
- Help establish the team’s future on-call rotation and operating model.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or similar software.
- Experience using Kubernetes as a platform for building and deploying software rather than primarily administering it.
- Strong software design and service design judgment independent of programming language.
- Experience with developer platform integrations such as GitHub Apps, internal CLIs, or MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Experience or a clear point of view on using AI tools in software development workflows.
- Ability to reason about interfaces, boundaries, edge cases, and failure modes.
- Strong collaboration and documentation skills across global, remote teams.
- This is not an entry-level or new-graduate role; deep infrastructure administration, heavy Terraform ownership, or cluster administration alone is not the target background.
