Base Salary

$119k - $233k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Ship production GenAI features that improve commercial customer workflows.
  • Design and improve LLM systems for intent interpretation, context retrieval, tool and function calling, API integration, and multi-step workflow orchestration.
  • Build applications that transform operational signals into summaries, recommendations, alerts, and decision-support experiences.
  • Develop evaluation datasets, test harnesses, prompt and workflow regression testing, groundedness checks, guardrails, safety controls, and misuse defenses.
  • Implement latency, cost, quality, and observability monitoring plus traceability for debugging AI behavior.
  • Help move prototypes into maintainable production services and collaborate with engineering, product, data, security, and business teams.
  • Contribute to responsible AI practices in an enterprise software environment.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience building production backend services, APIs, data products, or AI-enabled applications.
  • At least 3 years demonstrating strong programming skills in Python, Kotlin, or Java.
  • At least 2 years of practical experience using LLM APIs or building GenAI-enabled applications.
  • At least 2 years of experience with prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling, function calling, or structured model outputs.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with SQL and structured data.
  • At least 2 years of experience deploying or operating software in a cloud environment, preferably GCP.
  • At least 2 years demonstrating strong understanding of testing, monitoring, reliability, and maintainable software design.
  • Preferred: at least 1 year collaborating with product managers, engineers, data teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Preferred: at least 1 year deploying agentic AI-based applications in enterprise production environments.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
