Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices.
- Collaborate with architects and software engineers to deliver compelling user experiences.
- Deliver maintainable, robust, and testable code.
- Design and evolve services that power and monitor video streaming.
- Partner with software engineering teams to create end-to-end solutions.
- Share knowledge with developers across the business.
- Mentor software engineers on design patterns and coding standards.
- Own the software systems developed by the team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with Node.js.
- Enterprise experience creating APIs with web frameworks such as Fastify or Express.
- Experience working with Git.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Understanding of code review practices.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Very good communication skills in English with people at all seniority levels.
- Experience with cloud and/or microservices, preferably AWS, is preferred.
- Experience building services that handle high, spiky loads is preferred.
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery experience is preferred.
- Experience working in a build-it-own-it model, infrastructure as code, and service monitoring is preferred.
