Responsibilities
- Manage customer problems through diagnosis, resolution, or development of investigation tools for AI/ML infrastructure issues.
- Troubleshoot, reproduce, and determine root causes for customer-reported issues across AI/ML workloads and underlying hardware architectures.
- Build tools to accelerate diagnosis and improve customer issue resolution productivity.
- Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for engineering, sales, and customer organizations resolving complex AI infrastructure deployment and operational obstacles.
- Work with Product, Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering teams to improve product quality and production reliability.
- Update documentation and participate in rotating on-call schedules covering nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience reading and debugging code in a general-purpose language such as Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, or JavaScript.
- Experience with virtualization and orchestration frameworks.
- Experience administering Linux/Unix systems and debugging hardware and software issues on enterprise-grade server infrastructure.
- Experience troubleshooting customer issues and triaging technical problems across hardware, low-level software, networking, virtualization, kernel drivers, firmware, and performance.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML computing hardware, including GPUs or other accelerators.
- Preferred experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch and understanding of the AI/ML training and inference lifecycle.
- Preferred experience with large-scale distributed systems and common solutions, design patterns, or best practices.
- Preferred familiarity with Kubernetes or Slurm in on-premises or cloud environments.
