Base Salary
$70k - $126k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and implementation of full-stack software architecture and design patterns for missile system applications.
- Develop modular, reusable, portable, and maintainable software for guidance, navigation, control, telemetry, mission planning, simulations, and mission-critical systems.
- Participate in technical, design, and code reviews and support software tool, framework, and development approach decisions.
- Support flight-test operations and post-test analysis.
- Develop software meeting military and aviation standards for safety, cybersecurity, and RMF compliance.
- Support software fielding, maintenance, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and product support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical field, with an overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- At least 2 years of relevant technical experience involving embedded software or embedded-adjacent applications.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
- Demonstrable experience with C/C++.
- Experience with Python or Java.
- Understanding of software architecture patterns, design principles, configuration management, software quality engineering, and software development standards and practices.
- Must reside in North Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville-North Alabama area.
- Preferred qualifications include embedded missile, aerospace, weapons, or real-time embedded systems experience; MOSA knowledge; containerization, CI/CD, and microservices experience; guidance and control, navigation, mission planning, or sensor knowledge; MATLAB/Simulink proficiency; and hardware-software integration experience.
