Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Advance Kubernetes and auxiliary component capabilities on Azure.
- Improve the quality of service for Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Accelerate development velocity for engineers and continuously improve team processes and the codebase.
- Build automation to prevent or remediate service problems before they become production incidents.
- Integrate AI tools into engineering workflows.
- Build internal and external observability tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master's degree and 8+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience building, shipping, and operating reliable distributed solutions.
- Experience with Linux, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or another AI agent in design and implementation workflows.
- Ability to engage in site-reliability engineering practices.
- Experience with observability platforms and internals, time-series data, and large data processing.
Benefits
- Typical U.S. base pay range is $142,800-$274,800 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of $188,000-$304,200 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position will remain open for a minimum of five days and accept applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
