Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own tooling that powers Equinix’s API ecosystem.
- Develop API governance and specifications, SDK and infrastructure-as-code/documentation generation, and developer platform workflows.
- Lead API architecture, integration, deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management across business systems and applications.
- Improve developer experience and system reliability through automation, including AI-assisted checks.
- Work with business, product, architecture, and networking teams to influence requirements, design, validation, and deployments.
- Provide technical leadership across teams and own systems end to end.
Requirements
- Strong coding skills in Go, Python, or JavaScript.
- Senior Staff-level experience building and operating production systems or internal developer platforms.
- Deep experience with API lifecycle management and governance, including OpenAPI, OAuth2/OIDC, versioning, and compatibility.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform providers and modules, Kubernetes, and Linux-based CI/CD.
- Familiarity with gateways and edge technologies such as Apigee, ALB, Ingress, and Envoy.
- Familiarity with identity and authorization patterns and an automation-first approach.
- Preferred: experience generating SDKs for multi-language clients and performing compatibility testing.
- Preferred: experience with Docusaurus, Backstage, Confluence, plugins, and build integrations.
- Preferred: experience with MCP and safe agentic or AI workflows for developer tooling.
