Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end integration architecture for customer engagements, including canonical models, security baselines, non-functional requirements, and deployment topologies.
- Design API-led architectures, eventing strategies, saga and compensation patterns, idempotency, observability, and error handling for autonomous AI ecosystems.
- Lead requirements-gathering and architecture workshops with technical, business, C-level, and Enterprise Architect stakeholders, and produce architectural blueprints.
- Coordinate with customer Enterprise Architecture, Security, DevOps, and SRE teams to secure design approval.
- Review consultant-produced code and design artifacts and enforce MuleSoft and customer standards.
- Own technical risk, drive mitigations, and support scope changes, effort re-estimation, performance testing, high availability, disaster recovery, and pre-production hardening.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience architecting integration solutions, including at least 3 years specifically with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Mule 4.
- Active MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect — Level 1 certification is required; MCPA Level 1 is strongly preferred.
- Experience leading at least two end-to-end MuleSoft implementations from design through go-live.
- Hands-on experience with cloud, Runtime Fabric, hybrid deployment topologies, and CI/CD pipelines into Anypoint.
- Experience with enterprise-scale high availability, fault tolerance, performance testing, and tuning.
- Ability to lead technical workshops with C-level and Enterprise Architect audiences and operate independently on engagement governance.
- Additional experience with platforms such as Apigee, IBM, Boomi, TIBCO, Oracle Fusion, or Kong is desirable.
- Conceptual or hands-on experience with MuleSoft AI and agentic technologies, LLM APIs, event-driven and streaming architectures, Anypoint Platform administration, Salesforce Agentforce, or generative integration applications is desirable.
- Working English is required; additional regional languages may be needed for particular engagements.
- International, cross-functional, multicultural experience, TOGAF or equivalent familiarity, and relevant industry-vertical experience are preferred.
