Base Salary

$239k - $315k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, mentor, recruit, and manage performance for a team of presales Solutions Engineers.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers and Account Executives on territory strategies and enterprise deals.
  • Oversee and participate in technical discovery, solution design, proofs of concept, demonstrations, and executive presentations.
  • Drive technical win strategies for complex, high-value enterprise opportunities.
  • Develop expertise in Energy, Healthcare, and Retail industries, including their regulatory landscapes and technical challenges.
  • Represent the Solutions Engineering organization in business reviews, forecasting calls, and leadership meetings.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Industry, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Channel teams to improve customer outcomes and product direction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a related presales technical role.
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading Solutions Engineering or technical presales teams.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise accounts, preferably in Energy, Healthcare, and Retail.
  • Understanding of data platforms, SIEM, observability, or security operations.
  • Experience with networking, server, application, virtualization, big data, and web technologies.
  • Experience managing proofs of concept, RFPs, and multistakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, or ITSI/ES or Observability.
  • Experience working with channel or partner ecosystems.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
