Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate production-grade Kubernetes platforms in regulated and non-regulated environments.
  • Improve system reliability through automation, system design, and continuous iteration.
  • Define and drive SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for reliability decisions.
  • Build and evolve secure, scalable, and usable CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement metrics, logging, and tracing observability platforms.
  • Automate repetitive processes and reduce operational toil.
  • Partner with security and compliance teams to implement controls and support audit readiness.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, paging-alert support, and blameless postmortems.
  • Influence technical direction, drive cross-functional initiatives, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong experience running Kubernetes in production, including EKS, AKS, GKE, or upstream Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform preferred.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming with Python or Go.
  • Experience building or operating observability platforms using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or ELK.
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI and ISO.
  • Ability to influence technical direction and drive initiatives across engineering, security, and operations.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership in SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure teams.
