Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize, train, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy GenAI/NLP models, LLM solutions, and autonomous AI workflows.
- Build and maintain cloud-based AI pipelines for training, inference, monitoring, drift detection, retraining, and model adjustment.
- Lead AI model implementation, deployment, governance, and automation within cloud and CI/CD environments.
- Develop RAG pipelines, vector-based retrieval systems, AI services, and integrations with enterprise data pipelines and APIs.
- Evaluate and pilot new AI technologies, tools, platforms, and architectures through proofs of concept.
- Collaborate with product, data, platform, engineering, and security teams to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions.
- Embed governance, risk, compliance, data privacy, model security, safety, and bias mitigation into AI initiatives.
- Maintain documentation for AI architecture, data pipelines, deployment procedures, and model governance.
- Mentor junior AI engineers and promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in AI/ML/Data Science, including at least 3 years in GenAI/NLP.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field, or an alternative pathway through a strong GenAI/NLP portfolio or relevant certifications.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, model evaluation, and production AI/ML solutions.
- Strong Python proficiency and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers.
- Experience deploying AI models on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with knowledge of serverless/event-driven architectures and basic MLOps concepts.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD concepts, AI model monitoring, data preprocessing, data pipelines, governance, privacy, and security.
- Preferred experience with R, Java, C++, LangChain, SpaCy, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML, NoSQL databases, and multi-cloud deployments.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring peers; exposure to regulated industries and governance is preferred.
- AI/ML, cloud-platform, or MLOps certifications are advantageous.
