Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain capabilities for the Backbase Mobile Platform.
- Build and maintain SDKs and libraries for mobile Identity and Authentication journeys.
- Write clean, maintainable Swift code using native Apple frameworks and technologies.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical designs and production implementations.
- Develop secure, performant, scalable, and maintainable mobile banking features.
- Automate testing and collaborate with QA to achieve a minimum 80% unit-test coverage.
- Contribute to CI/CD practices and improve engineering standards across the squad.
- Explore and apply AI tools and agentic frameworks for code generation, test automation, and developer productivity.
- Gather feedback and requirements, write documentation, and provide product adoption support to colleagues, customers, and partners.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in native iOS development.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and practical experience with Objective-C.
- Experience developing applications in FinTech, banking, or payments.
- Expertise with modern iOS architectures such as MVVM, VIPER, and Clean Architecture.
- Experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, or RxSwift.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL and implementing asynchronous programming with GCD, async/await, or Combine.
- Strong understanding of mobile security best practices, including Keychain and biometrics.
- Experience with Git and familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Bitrise, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Passion for AI/ML tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, and Xcode AI.
- Preferred: in-depth knowledge of mobile application security and data encryption standards.
- Preferred: experience with Swift Package Manager or CocoaPods.
- Preferred: familiarity with mobile analytics, A/B testing, and crash reporting tools such as Firebase and Crashlytics.
- Preferred: experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred: one or more published iOS applications on the Apple App Store.
