Base Salary

$129k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own architecture for platform domains spanning client experiences, API gateways, backend services, data stores, and event pipelines.
  • Define service topologies and measurable non-functional requirements for scalability, performance, maintainability, security, and robustness.
  • Design authorization, consent gating, data shaping, redaction, classification, audit logging, encryption, and key-management approaches for Protected Health Information.
  • Lead partner and vendor integrations, including identity federation, file and API exchanges, and webhook ingestion.
  • Design migration paths from incumbent vendor platforms, including parallel operation, traffic cutover, rollback, and data reconciliation.
  • Write architecture decision records, service specifications, and interface contracts, and present solutions to engineering, architecture, security, and senior leadership.
  • Lead resolution of complex technical and business problems, estimate development work, monitor roadmap execution, and mentor software engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 9 years of experience designing and analyzing algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable, highly available systems.
  • At least 9 years using two modern programming languages and at least three of React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services.
  • At least 9 years of experience with web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, and JSON.
  • At least 9 years using two or more general-purpose programming languages, including Java, Python, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, JavaScript, or Go.
  • At least 9 years defining system architectures, evaluating technical trade-offs, and producing fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Preferred experience includes 9 years working with technology systems, designing solutions, or developing healthcare applications, including translating mockups, prototypes, and user stories into working applications.
  • Three years of experience with Natural Language Understanding, Deep Neural Networks, or related fields is preferred.
  • Preferred Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Developer, or Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification.
  • Ability to influence technical direction across team boundaries, document architecture decisions, communicate clearly, and apply professional software engineering practices.
