Senior Security Automation Engineer

Responsibilities
- Build a centralized security telemetry system that continuously captures control evidence and security posture data.
- Design layered controls, custom assurance logic, and self-healing automation to prevent compliance drift and continuously validate critical controls.
- Partner with risk management to build secure agentic risk assessment workflows.
- Architect provisioning connectors for proprietary databases, custom applications, and niche SaaS systems.
- Create customer-approved, time-bound support-access workflows with automatic revocation.
- Centralize application permissions visibility at the authorization level across ClickHouse applications.
- Automate discovery and inventory of secrets, credentials, and API keys, including aging and rotation intervals.
- Automate de-provisioning for local identities, API keys, and persistent permissions to eliminate ghost accounts.
- Partner with GRC, Finance, Security, Engineering, and Product teams on compliance and provisioning automation.
- Remove manual provisioning workflows and administrative tickets that create engineering friction.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on background in security automation and identity engineering, including IAM/IGA.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language used to build scalable automation; Python, JavaScript with TypeScript highly preferred, or Go is required.
- Experience building scalable and reliable automation ecosystems.
- Familiarity with compliance automation, continuous control monitoring, and extending GRC tools across multiple compliance frameworks.
- Understanding of risks related to change management, logical access, and data integrity.
- Ability to translate complex security and GRC mandates into automated workflows and self-healing technical guardrails.
- Experience delivering continuous data streams for security posture and risk validation.
- A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field is a bonus.
- Experience at a cloud infrastructure, database, or developer tools company is a bonus.
- Experience with AI/agentic risk engines and non-deterministic risk assessments is a bonus.
